About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the entire RFP process from receipt through submission within established timelines
- Compose and edit professional, credible proposal documents
- Coordinate with sales and cross-functional teams to develop custom responses aligned with strategic proposal objectives
- Work closely with subject matter experts
- Research client needs, industry trends, and competitor offerings
- Lead and contribute to cross-functional, process-enhancement, and special projects
- Support primarily above-average and complex projects, plus simpler projects as volume requires
- Perform peer reviews for junior proposal team members as needed
- Train and mentor junior team members as needed
- Maintain the content library by submitting material changes and new Q&A pairings
- Update internal tracking systems for real-time reporting
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS/BA in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or related discipline
- Minimum five to seven years’ experience developing proposals in retirement plan services or professional services environment
- High level of experience supporting primarily above average and complex proposal projects
- Understanding of investment and retirement terminology desired
- Thorough understanding of the proposal development process
- Experience coordinating proposal process facets including coordination, subject-expert and project-team interfacing, editing/proofing, production, and quality control
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting
- Excellent interpersonal, project management, and organizational skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to think critically and create simple, unified, persuasive output from several resources
- Experience mentoring and training others with less tenure or expertise
- Proficiency with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with Upland Qvidian or other content management software
- APMP Foundation certification preferred
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

- Reliable high-speed internet with a wired connection and a minimally disruptive home workspace required for remote work
