About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead daily execution and continuous improvement of transaction processing functions
- Oversee ACH, domestic and international wires, check processing, cash letters, electronic and mobile deposits, real-time payments, settlement, reconciliations, returns, disputes, and exception items
- Ensure accurate, timely, secure, compliant processing and completion of operational controls
- Develop, coach, train, and cross-train associates
- Assign and prioritize work, monitor capacity and service levels, and adjust coverage
- Manage complex customer, teller, bank, vendor, and financial-institution issues
- Maintain segregation of duties, dual control, transaction limits, approvals, access controls, audit trails, and exception escalation
- Identify and mitigate fraud, operational, compliance, settlement, and financial risks
- Partner with Risk, Compliance, Fraud, Information Security, Audit, Legal, and Technology teams
- Maintain procedures, desktop guides, control documentation, process maps, and escalation protocols
- Improve workflows, operational efficiency, scalability, accuracy, customer impact, and processing time
- Support system implementations, product launches, conversions, testing, and operational readiness
- Prepare operational reporting and recommendations for senior management
- Maintain and test business continuity and disaster recovery procedures
- Manage vendor relationships and support special projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5+ years supervisor and/or banking experience required
- AAP or APRP certifications preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with enterprise-level software systems, cloud-based platforms, and standard desktop productivity tools
- Experience in both Traditional and Embedded Banking (BaaS)
- Ability to meet transaction processing deadlines, service levels, approvals, balancing, settlement, and end-of-day controls
- Knowledge of NACHA Rules, OFAC, BSA/AML, Regulation E, Regulation CC, and wire-transfer requirements
- Understanding of operational, fraud, compliance, third-party, settlement, and financial risks
- Ability to maintain internal controls, audit trails, access controls, and exception escalation
- E-Verify work authorization confirmation for the United States
