About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop core skills and knowledge for the safe and reliable operation of equipment
Adhere to safety procedures, code requirements, company policies, and regulatory standards
Perform maintenance and repair tasks on pipelines and operational equipment
Participate in safety-related programs
Collaborate with departments and work group team members to support operational needs
Complete accurate equipment maintenance paperwork and reports
Respond to equipment malfunctions, physical damage, fires, vandalism, threats, and other emergencies
Implement lockout/tagout procedures
Maintain applicable local filing systems
Obtain required training to maintain qualifications
Order, receive, transfer, and physically inventory materials
Review and interpret drawings, sketches, and as-built documentation
Ensure safe and reliable Enbridge equipment operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma and minimal direct training and experience
Valid driver’s license
Computer literacy with working knowledge of Excel and Word
Strong technical and analytical skills demonstrated through training, formal education, and/or experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work and contribute to a team environment
Proven ability to drive and perform job duties safely
Ability to solve problems without compromising SOPs
Willingness to assume responsibility and take initiative
Working knowledge of maintenance and repair operations for pipelines and operational equipment
Commitment and desire to learn and advance as a Pipeline Technician
Ability to perform physically demanding activities in all weather conditions
Willingness and ability to work overtime, weekends, shifts, on-call and standby
Willingness to travel overnight as required
Currently resides or is willing to relocate within 30 miles of the assigned reporting location
Ability to perform listed physical activities, including lifting/carrying objects up to 45 pounds
Ability to understand and apply oral and written instructions, organize and prioritize work, complete routine forms and basic reports, and communicate by telephone
Final candidates may be required to undergo security screening, including a criminal records check
