About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure safe, compliant, and consistent functioning of Enbridge equipment
- Follow safety procedures, participate in safety programs, and apply lockout/tagout practices
- Address equipment malfunctions, damage, and emergencies
- Complete accurate reports and interpret drawings and as-builts
- Oversee ordering, receiving, transferring, and inventory of materials
- Assist with maintenance work plans and provide budget-related input
- Recommend spare parts levels to reduce downtime
- Perform other qualified duties in electrical controls, equipment operation, measurement, telecommunications, mechanical technician, and operations technician roles as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years of directly relevant training and experience
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Adherence to standard operating procedures
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Digital literacy in Word, Excel, and related software
- Commitment to safety, responsibility, and initiative
- Understanding of pipeline and operational equipment maintenance and repair preferred
- Ability to work outdoors and perform physically demanding activities in all weather conditions
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, shifts, on-call and standby, and travel overnight as required
- Must reside or be willing to relocate within 30 miles of the assigned reporting location
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate uneven or slippery terrain, excavations, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and other devices
- Ability to understand and apply oral and written instructions, solve complex problems, organize and prioritize work, complete forms and reports, and communicate by telephone
- Final candidates may be required to undergo security screening, including a criminal records check
