About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, enhance, test, debug, and support software solutions for GTM commercial business applications throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Partner with business users to understand functional and data requirements, assess existing processes, and recommend technology solutions
  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and testing of moderately complex software solutions
  • Manage increasingly challenging technical assignments
  • Identify opportunities to improve application performance, reliability, and functionality
  • Drive resolution of technical issues with guidance from senior team members as needed
  • Collaborate with developers, quality assurance analysts, business partners, and cross-functional teams
  • Align solution designs, clarify requirements, prevent software defects, and support successful implementation
  • Provide technical guidance to new team members on development environments, standards, operational processes, application functionality, and component architecture
  • Align development activities and technology solutions with business needs and expected outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • 2 or more years of web application development experience
  • Hands-on experience with Java, web services, CSS, XML/XSLT, HTML, JavaScript, JUnit, and Oracle SQL
  • Experience developing and implementing web applications using N-tier architecture
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, Spring framework, data structures and algorithms, multithreading, synchronization, and performance tuning
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, source code management, and unit testing
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly while maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Customer-service mindset when working with business partners
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Preferred: knowledge of JSON, ORM, C#, IIS, and ASP.NET
  • Preferred: experience with DevOps CI/CD and automated test execution using GIT, Azure DevOps, and Ansible
  • Preferred: experience with IT operations, automation, cloud computing, monitoring, and logging
  • Preferred: knowledge of data privacy practices and laws and regulations such as NAESB, FERC, and SOX
  • Legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must be able to meet physical and mental requirements of the role
  • Final candidates may be required to undergo security screening, including a criminal records check
