About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide strategic leadership for solution architecture and artificial intelligence delivery across Gas Distribution
- Lead a team of technology professionals developing secure, scalable, and practical solutions
- Support business transformation, application simplification, innovation, and long-term technology roadmaps
- Manage delivery of AI and digital solutions for Gas Distribution Services
- Work with business and technology partners to identify opportunities and prioritize initiatives
- Support the responsible implementation of emerging capabilities
- Partner with business leaders, Enterprise Architecture, delivery teams, shared services, and vendors
- Translate complex requirements into practical solutions
- Resolve architectural challenges and build alignment across stakeholders
- Lead, coach, and develop solution architects and other technology professionals
- Promote collaboration, technical quality, continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and experimentation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced university degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible technology experience
- Expert knowledge of solution architecture within a complex utility or enterprise application environment
- Strong knowledge of application, data, integration, infrastructure, and security architecture
- Demonstrated experience leading technology delivery, business transformation, or architecture initiatives
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations
- Ability to evaluate emerging technologies, including AI
- Ability to translate technical concepts, risks, and recommendations into clear business language
- Final candidates may be required to undergo security screening, including a criminal records check
