About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance and repairs on mainline piping, terminals, and station facilities
  • Inspect, operate, and maintain pipeline valves, right-of-way markers, signs, and related equipment
  • Complete emergency one-calls, pipeline locates, and onsite monitoring of third-party excavation activities
  • Respond to pipeline emergencies by supporting containment, repair, cleanup, and preventative actions
  • Investigate measurement issues, calculate adjustments, and provide input into measurement standards
  • Issue work permits, oversee contract work, and provide field leadership when required
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, contractors, landowners, and other stakeholders to complete work safely and efficiently

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years of relevant experience
  • Basic understanding of computers
  • Ability to complete routine documentation and reports
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
  • Commitment to safety, environmental protection, and established operating procedures
  • Ability to organize priorities, follow technical instructions, and make sound decisions in changing or time-sensitive situations
  • Effective communication and positive working relationships with colleagues, contractors, and external stakeholders
  • CDL licence preferred or ability to obtain and maintain CDL
  • Ability to work in field and office environments with approximately 75% travel and frequent overnight stays
  • Flexibility for overtime, emergency response, changing priorities, adverse weather, and work outside normal business hours
  • Ability to work independently with limited day-to-day direction
  • Ability to perform listed physical activities and lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; some requirements specify up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to understand and apply oral and written instructions, organize and prioritize work, complete routine forms and basic reports, and communicate by telephone
  • Successful candidate should live within 25 miles of the applicable reporting location unless approved otherwise
  • Final candidates may be required to undergo security screening, including a criminal records check
