About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead integrated, cross-functional project teams and ensure successful delivery of assigned capital projects
  • Develop project execution strategies, resource plans, budgets, and scenarios
  • Manage project scope, cost, schedule, performance, change controls, and Project Life Cycle compliance
  • Identify project risks, exposures, and opportunities; maintain risk registers and implement mitigation measures
  • Coordinate regulatory filings, agency responses, project reporting, and external relationships for FERC and other permitting requirements
  • Provide strategic leadership on project execution, contractor selection, commercial agreements, stakeholder communications, and lessons learned
  • Guide pipeline and compressor station capital projects valued at more than $100 million from inception through closeout
  • Travel frequently to project locations during construction and up to 50% during key project stages
  • Undergo potential security screening, including a criminal records check

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, operations, or project management training and/or experience
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible related experience
  • At least five years of experience in the pipeline industry
  • Experience managing projects from inception through closeout
  • Candidates without a university degree require an additional 3 years of related experience, for a total of 10+ years
  • Strong working knowledge of project management methods and techniques
  • PMP certification or equivalent designation is an asset
  • Ability to anticipate risks and emerging issues, evaluate alternatives, and take timely independent action
  • Ability to lead meetings, establish expectations, negotiate solutions, and build stakeholder alignment
  • Strong leadership, organization, and planning skills
  • Ability to travel and work throughout the United States
  • Valid driver’s license and responsible driving record required
  • Ability to meet stated physical requirements, including lifting up to 20 pounds, typing, and prolonged computer use
  • Ability to understand and apply oral and written instructions, analyze complex problems, prioritize work, make decisions, complete forms and reports, and communicate by telephone
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment-based sponsorship now or in the future
