About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead Quality Assurance activities across a diverse portfolio of Major Projects
- Provide oversight and guidance through desktop reviews, field assessments, and collaboration with project stakeholders
- Ensure project execution complies with regulatory codes, Enbridge standards, specifications, and Quality Management Plan requirements
- Identify and mitigate quality risks, develop project quality plans, and coordinate Quality Assurance resources and assignments
- Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Operations, Supply Chain, contractors, consultants, and suppliers
- Provide technical quality guidance and report on project performance
- Investigate and manage quality nonconformances
- Lead root-cause analyses and verify corrective and preventive actions
- Review engineering packages, procurement documentation, Inspection Test Plans, contractor quality plans, Quality Control reports, and Issued for Construction deliverables
- Conduct project-site assessments and support construction inspection teams and regulatory inspections
- Report findings and drive continuous improvement of the Quality Management program
- Provide occasional after-hours guidance on critical project quality issues
- Travel approximately 25–50% to project sites across the United States, varying by project phase, construction activity, quality risks, and inspection requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, quality management, or a related discipline; an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered
- 6+ years of experience in oil and gas industrial construction, quality inspection, quality assessment, engineering, construction, or quality management
- Candidates without a university degree require an additional 3 years of related experience, for 9+ years total
- Strong knowledge of applicable oil and gas regulatory codes, including Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and Compliance, Safety, and Accountability (CSA) requirements
- Relevant welding, coating, or nondestructive examination certification such as NACE/CIP, CWI, or API, either held or in progress, considered an asset
- Ability to work in an office/field environment and travel regularly to project sites across the United States
- Ability to provide occasional after-hours support
- Ability to respond flexibly to changing priorities, short-notice inspections, quality incidents, scope changes, and evolving project schedules
- Ability to perform listed physical requirements and safely maneuver within active construction sites
- Final candidates may be required to undergo security screening, including a criminal records check
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located without employment-based sponsorship now or in the future
