About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary relationship contact for assigned large Industrial and Commercial customers
- Develop strategies to retain and grow customer relationships, throughput, and revenue
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, products, and services
- Optimize Enbridge’s system assets and support long-term business growth
- Lead contract and business negotiations with customers and external business partners
- Balance customer needs with company objectives and regulatory requirements
- Monitor customer needs, market conditions, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities
- Develop strategies to strengthen Enbridge’s market position and customer satisfaction
- Build and maintain communication channels with internal teams, external customers, and business partners
- Deliver timely and reliable customer service
- Provide recommendations on pricing structures, tariff terms, and market strategies
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives, special studies, and task forces
- Ensure business activities comply with legal, regulatory, and Code of Conduct requirements
- Travel approximately 25–50% as required for business, project, or operational needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Related university degree with six or more years of directly related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering preferred
- Broad knowledge of the natural gas industry, including distribution, gathering and transmission operations, gas transportation, measurement, storage, and large Industrial and Commercial markets
- Understanding of general business and financial processes, customer and market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and business growth factors
- Experience identifying revenue growth opportunities, leading sales processes, negotiating business arrangements, and developing innovative solutions to complex customer needs
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and collaborate with internal teams, customers, and external business partners
- Understanding of basic distribution, gathering, and transmission system operations
- Knowledge of gas acquisition and transportation
- Strong analytical, planning, decision-making, project management, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and resources
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email
- Final candidates may be required to undergo security screening, including a criminal records check
- Ability to meet physical requirements including light to moderate lifting, typing, prolonged sitting, standing, and visual and hearing requirements
- Ability to understand and apply oral and written instructions, analyze complex problems, organize and prioritize work, make decisions, complete routine forms, compose basic reports, and communicate by telephone
