About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support accounting, reporting, and analysis activities for joint ventures across Enbridge business units
  • Prepare, review, and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial information for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
  • Analyze financial and regulatory reports, including income statement and balance sheet results, under U.S. GAAP
  • Communicate financial results, trends, and variances
  • Identify and resolve complex accounting issues
  • Support internal, external, financial, and regulatory audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and company policies
  • Research accounting transactions and assess financial impacts
  • Collaborate with Finance and business stakeholders on accounting issues, system implementations, process improvements, special projects, and cross-training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience preferably involving public practice, technical accounting, external financial reporting, or regulated utilities
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting
  • Proficiency with ERP and accounting systems such as Oracle Cloud, SAP, SmartView, or HFM
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Business acumen, organizational ability, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, build stakeholder relationships, influence outcomes, manage competing priorities, and work under tight deadlines
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
  • May be required to undergo security screening, including a criminal records check
