About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Establish and maintain engineering governance throughout the project lifecycle across Enbridge business units and locations in Canada and the United States
  • Develop, update, and harmonize procedures, standards, guides, deliverable templates, and other governance documents
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, optimize processes, and implement practical, fit-for-purpose governance solutions
  • Represent the Engineering Management Office at workshops, business initiatives, and stakeholder reviews
  • Lead discussions and make informed decisions on proposed governance changes
  • Facilitate virtual and in-person training and awareness sessions for governance documents, tools, and applications
  • Collaborate with project teams and functional partners across procurement, contracts, project management, quality, construction, and commissioning
  • Mentor peers and communicate complex information to technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Pipeline, Civil, or Electrical Engineering, from an accredited university
  • 6+ years of oil and gas industry experience, including projects of varying types, scopes, and sizes
  • Registered member with APEGA as P. Eng. in Alberta; US candidates preferably have a PE
  • Understanding of the complete project lifecycle, engineering deliverables, and interfaces between engineering and other project functions
  • Ability to build productive stakeholder relationships and facilitate reviews, workshops, training sessions, and decision-making discussions
  • Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities, manage multiple assignments, meet tight deadlines, and work with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, and documentation skills
  • Ability to explain complex issues clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid passport to travel throughout Canada and the United States
  • Willingness/ability to meet physical requirements including lifting up to 20 pounds, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, and visual and hearing requirements
  • Ability to meet stated mental requirements, including understanding instructions, solving complex problems, organizing and prioritizing work, making decisions, completing forms, composing basic reports, and communicating by telephone
  • Final candidates may be required to undergo security screening, including a criminal records check
