About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead planning and execution of capital maintenance and operational projects
  • Select resources, conduct procurement activities, and coordinate contractors
  • Provide engineering expertise and technical leadership for electrical, mechanical, civil, and equipment repair or replacement projects across the Prairie Region
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance teams, project sponsors, and contractors to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget
  • Develop technical solutions for operational and maintenance challenges while ensuring compliance with company standards, specifications, and regulations
  • Maintain project documentation, technical records, drawings, and asset information throughout the project lifecycle
  • Transition project information to asset management systems
  • Mentor junior engineers and regional personnel
  • Support emergency response activities as an Incident Command System resource

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license in Alberta or Saskatchewan
  • 6+ years of related industry experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, planning, and organizational abilities
  • Team-oriented and customer-focused approach
  • Ability to communicate technical and non-technical information to diverse audiences
  • Knowledge of engineering project execution, construction standards, and operations and maintenance practices
  • Pipeline operations, maintenance, or integrity experience considered an asset
  • Ability to travel and work throughout Canada
  • Valid driver’s license and responsible driving record required
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without current or future employment-based sponsorship
