About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, cloud-native applications for commercial, operational, and analytical functions across the Gas Transmission business
- Translate business requirements and solution designs into high-quality software
- Contribute to technical architecture, solution planning, design discussions, and product roadmaps
- Build and enhance automated testing frameworks, including Playwright end-to-end testing
- Develop reliable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Apply modern engineering, DevOps, security, peer review, and quality assurance practices throughout the software development lifecycle
- Use AI-assisted development and productivity tools
- Troubleshoot complex application issues and conduct root cause analysis
- Optimize application performance and data flows
- Document technical designs, operational procedures, and support knowledge
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, subject matter experts, development teams, service providers, and vendors
- Mentor developers and promote technical excellence and continuous learning
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or a two-year technical diploma; Computing Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline preferred
- 6+ years of full-stack software development experience
- Preferably experience supporting the oil and gas industry or Gas Transmission Pipeline Commercial business
- Development experience with C#, .NET, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Entity Framework, xUnit, REST APIs, and cloud-native application architectures
- Experience with DevOps and Agile development
- Experience with GitHub source control and GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with automated testing, unit testing, Playwright, and developer productivity tools
- Understanding of Azure cloud and data technologies, including Azure Container Apps, Azure Web Apps, Function Apps, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, PaaS, data transformation, and application integration security
- Strong communication, customer service, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to influence others, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and commit to continuous learning and improvement
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada without requiring sponsorship from Enbridge now or in the future
- Final candidates may be required to undergo security screening, including a criminal records check
