About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct and document complex financial analysis reports
  • Develop and coordinate complex budget projects and processes
  • Provide variance analysis, modeling, and forecasting services for senior management
  • Coordinate program budgeting and strategic planning processes
  • Develop and execute policies and procedures
  • Train and assist budget participants
  • Communicate with management and analyze data
  • Monitor program budgets, expenditures, and variances
  • Analyze trends and assist with forecasting and funding needs
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Review program efficiency and track grant allocation and spending
  • Make recommendations regarding program decisions and budget allocations
  • Develop revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations
  • Prepare annual financial budgets and monthly financial forecasts
  • Assist with grant application budgets and annual program budgets
  • Provide budget-management guidance to Program Directors
  • Create, update, and analyze reports and ensure financial information is recorded accurately
  • Facilitate interdepartmental teamwork and maintain effective working relationships
  • Provide exceptional customer service supporting children, families, Veterans, and clients
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Proficient PC skills in the use of Microsoft Office products
  • With Bachelor’s degree, four years' experience performing financial analysis, including budget coordination, strategic planning, business analysis, or related activities
  • With Master’s degree, two years' related experience
  • Regular and acceptable attendance
  • Driver’s License with clear record
  • Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice
  • Must be available and willing to travel to various locations as business needs dictate
  • Preferred: Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) experience
  • Preferred: Prior employment in non-profit and/or social service fields
