About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the Business Development function for Par Health
  • Source, screen, evaluate, and negotiate new business opportunities for licensing or M&A
  • Identify, evaluate, and create opportunities for overall business growth, profitability, and development
  • Review and assess international business development opportunities
  • Track BD budget and spend with finance and tax groups
  • Lead strategic and financial analysis for in-licensing pipeline opportunities, product acquisitions, M&A, and international opportunities
  • Lead due diligence efforts with internal and external teams
  • Facilitate senior management briefings on business development opportunities
  • Lead contract negotiations with internal and external counsel and coordinate functional teams to complete agreements
  • Manage transition of successful business transactions to project management and cross-functional integration teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum BA; MS, MBA or Scientific background highly preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant Pharmaceutical industry experience including at least 8 years of progressive Business Development experience
  • Experience with both generic and sterile products
  • Demonstrated track record of deal execution
  • Understanding of the generics pharmaceutical and sterile injectables markets, including the commercial, and regulatory landscape
  • Strong understanding of licensing agreements and merger and acquisitions processes
  • Understanding of legal strategies, patents, Hatch Waxman, Paragraph IV litigation, and launch at risk scenarios
  • Financial acumen, including proficiency in spreadsheet modeling (e.g., cash flow valuation analysis)
  • Business acumen including analytic skills, strategic thinking, and creativity in problem-solving
  • Ability to formulate insightful, fact-based and practical assessments of business opportunities and strategic options
  • Strong initiative, accountability, and willingness to take ownership and drive projects to completion
  • Ability to work both in a strategic mode and in detail
  • Office required due to confidential nature of work
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally approximately 10%
