About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead EIP's delivery of an energy efficiency financing initiative for a major Pennsylvania investor-owned utility company
- Build and maintain a diverse network of banks, CDFIs, credit unions, equipment finance companies, specialty finance providers, and other lenders
- Recruit, educate, onboard, train, and support financing partners
- Understand lender products, borrower profiles, project preferences, deal sizes, geographic coverage, underwriting requirements, and approval processes
- Own the day-to-day design, management, and refinement of the financing offering and matching desk
- Establish lender and referral workflows, matching criteria, tools, and process documentation
- Manage financing referrals, identify appropriate financing pathways, coordinate introductions, and track opportunities through financing outcomes
- Coordinate the contractor-facing outreach function and implementation partners
- Serve as EIP's primary day-to-day program contact with the prime implementation contractor and utility sponsor
- Lead meetings, coordinate approvals and support needs, communicate performance, and resolve delivery issues
- Establish and monitor program KPIs, referral and conversion outcomes, lender participation, and financing performance
- Maintain accurate CRM and program records and prepare client and internal performance reports
- Support forecasts, invoicing inputs, budget tracking, and other administrative requirements
- Identify financing gaps, borrower and contractor barriers, and market opportunities
- Use market feedback and performance data to improve lender coverage, customer experience, program design, and market impact
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, accounting, public policy, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience
- At least 5 years of experience in commercial lending, business banking, CDFI lending, equipment finance, clean energy finance, financial services partnerships, program management, or a related field
- Strong understanding of commercial lending products, credit considerations, underwriting concepts, financing structures, and borrower or project evaluation
- Demonstrated ability to manage and improve a program, product, or market-facing service, including workflows, performance metrics, partner coordination, and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, build, and manage productive relationships with lenders, financial institutions, clients, or other external partners
- Ability to serve as a day-to-day client lead, coordinate a small cross-functional delivery team, manage competing priorities, and maintain accountability for program outcomes
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain energy efficiency, financing, and program concepts clearly to professional audiences
- Ability to assess lender capabilities and project characteristics, analyze program performance, identify market or process gaps, and develop practical improvements
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience using CRM systems, spreadsheets, dashboards, and partner or project tracking tools
- Must have a valid US driver's license
- Must be able to work in the office at least three days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
