About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in appliances
- Repair and maintain refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, ranges, microwaves, and other commercial kitchen appliances
- Install new appliances and verify proper operation
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections
- Document service calls, repairs completed, parts used, and recommendations
- Communicate repair findings and costs to customers in a professional manner
- Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and supplies
- Ensure company vehicle and equipment are maintained in safe operating condition
- Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Provide outstanding customer service and represent the company professionally
- Work with subcontractors to ensure timely closeout of work orders
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of appliance repair, maintenance, electrical, HVAC, or related technical experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose appliance malfunctions accurately
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and electronic systems
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and service documentation
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- EPA Refrigerant Certification is a bonus
- Appliance manufacturer certifications are a bonus
- Trade school, technical school, or vocational training is a bonus
- Experience with smart appliances and electronic diagnostic equipment is a bonus
