Performance Engineer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Join the Public Sector East team serving New England or New York
- Conduct in-depth site surveys to identify mechanical and operating inefficiencies within facilities
- Analyze utility bills and financials
- Coordinate with contractors to provide creative, economical, and technically sound solutions
- Create written and schematic technical plans conveying solutions and risk
- Perform energy savings, operational savings, life cycle cost, and feasibility analyses
- Provide energy analyses and establish guaranteed savings based on proposed measures
- Create financial models based on customer parameters and project results
- Coordinate with Account Executives and Project Managers to develop and present customer proposals
- Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure smooth installations and act as the technical communication link between operations and sales
- Identify and work with subcontractors and consultants to provide technical analyses and installation descriptions
- Approve equipment before ordering to ensure accurate estimates and timely delivery
- Determine and develop measurements to ensure energy and operational guarantees are met
- Maintain current knowledge of technologies, regional legislation, and energy and facility operations
- Serve as the ongoing technical resource consultant for customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited Engineering/Technology program or equivalent
- Three (3) to eight (8) years’ experience in a construction or energy service related field
- Frequent travel approximately 25%-50%, including overnight stays
- Must be capable of being adequately self-directed
- Ability to successfully create and complete strategies in open protocol situations
- Any of the following certifications are a bonus: CEM, CMVP, any LEED Certification, NEBB TAB, any ASHRAE Certification, Professional License (PE), NCESS Record
