Performance Engineer
Energy Systems Group (ESG). Conduct in-depth site surveys to identify mechanical and operating inefficiencies within facilities .
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct in-depth site surveys to identify mechanical and operating inefficiencies within facilities
- Analyze utility bills and financials
- Coordinate with contractors and provide creative, economical, and technically sound solutions
- Create written and schematic technical plans communicating solutions and risks
- Perform energy savings, operational savings, life cycle cost, and feasibility analyses
- Provide energy analyses and establish guaranteed savings for proposed measures
- Create financial models based on customer parameters and project results
- Coordinate with Account Executives and Project Managers to develop and present customer proposals
- Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure smooth installations and serve as the technical communication link between operations and sales
- Identify and work with subcontractors and consultants on technical analyses and installation descriptions
- Approve equipment before ordering to ensure accurate estimates and timely delivery
- Develop measurements to verify energy and operational guarantees
- Create and complete strategies in open protocol situations
- Stay current with technologies through industry publications, seminars, conferences, and contractor and supplier relationships
- Monitor regional legislation affecting project development
- Maintain technical understanding of energy and facility operations and serve as an ongoing technical resource for customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited Engineering/Technology program or equivalent
- Three (3) to eight (8) years’ experience in a construction or energy service related field
- Frequent travel, approximately 25%-50%, including overnight stays
- Must be capable of being adequately self-directed
- Professional engineering/technology background
- Bonus qualifications: ten (10) years’ experience in a construction or energy service related field
- Bonus qualifications: CEM, CMVP, LEED, NEBB TAB, ASHRAE, Professional License (PE), or NCESS Record certifications
- Ability to work in New England or New York
