About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review facility energy usage daily and provide guidance, best practices, and operational modifications
- Mentor owners on energy strategies
- Manage Central Energy Plant operations and maintenance, including subcontractors, operators, and internal service providers
- Manage Central Energy Plant maintenance reserve accounts
- Work with operators to ensure efficient plant operation
- Provide ongoing training to plant operators
- Develop and maintain the Plant Operating Manual
- Assist the EPC team with coordinating engineering, procurement, and construction activities with OMC operations
- Coordinate on-site troubleshooting and diagnostic efforts with the remote support services team
- Manage one or multiple teams consisting of one or more Asset Managers
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of experience managing multiple sites and/or multiple Assistant Asset Managers/Asset Manager I/II positions, or managing a central plant/facility, or mechanical construction with a large mechanical subcontractor or MEP design consultant
- Well versed in building codes and associated standards
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary
- Preferred: 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program
- PE preferred, or FE and working toward obtaining PE
- Ability to travel 10–25% of the time to job sites/office locations
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
- Ability to work in tight and confined spaces
- Ability to remain stationary, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Ability to work in noisy and quiet environments
- Ability to adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds
