About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical components/equipment
  • Perform service projects and small jobs from beginning to completion
  • Ensure total customer satisfaction throughout service projects
  • Install and commission a wide variety of HVAC and refrigeration equipment
  • Perform maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration equipment
  • Establish and maintain clear communication with customers on and off customer job sites
  • Assist in maintaining inventory and procuring tools for the individual service vehicle
  • Promote and perform all aspects of BMCC’s safety procedures and policies
  • Travel to job sites or office locations 0–5% of the time

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current Licensed Technician (mandatory) or verifiable experience in service of commercial HVAC & refrigeration systems
  • EPA Certification
  • Water Cooled Chiller VFD Troubleshooting experience
  • Water Cooled Chiller Troubleshooting experience
  • Chiller rebuild experience
  • Startup & Commissioning experience
  • Crane signaling and rigging experience
  • Steam boiler/system maintenance, troubleshooting, service including setting combustion experience
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Versed in the industry and the Company’s competitors
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
  • Skills level of Tech IV
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles
  • Ability to move in different positions and work in tight and confined spaces
  • Ability to remain stationary, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Ability to operate machinery, power tools, and motor vehicles
  • Ability to adjust and/or move objects up to 50 pounds
