About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support all operational aspects of construction projects in collaboration with regional leadership
  • Set standards to ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality requirements are met

  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures for safety, planning, and quality control
  • Ensure site teams receive proper training and mentoring
  • Collaborate with Vice Presidents, IS Delivery, and implement the strategic goals of the Senior Vice President, IS Delivery Region
  • Report directly to the Senior Vice President, IS Delivery Region
  • Enforce company policies and procedures across field operations
  • Align field operations with the company's strategic vision and growth objectives
  • Advise project teams on planning, resource allocation, and operational strategies
  • Champion safety compliance with OSHA, ICRA, company policies, and industry best practices
  • Coordinate safety training, incident reporting, and risk mitigation with HSE
  • Monitor safety metrics and lead zero-incident initiatives
  • Review project execution, scheduling, and resource management
  • Implement standardized processes, technology, and workflow optimization
  • Coordinate project managers, superintendents, and subcontractor/vendor field teams
  • Develop quality control standards and inspection procedures
  • Establish and enforce quality assurance protocols, inspections, testing, and documentation
  • Resolve quality issues promptly
  • Build and maintain subcontractor relationships
  • Participate in subcontractor selection, contract negotiations, and performance evaluations
  • Mitigate subcontractor-performance risks
  • Oversee preconstruction, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Identify and address risks, challenges, and opportunities during planning and delivery
  • Guide labor, equipment, and materials utilization
  • Build and lead a high-performing field operations team
  • Mentor and develop superintendents and project managers
  • Serve as primary contact for key clients throughout the project lifecycle
  • Collaborate with development, sustainability, and project management teams to support client relationships and repeat business
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
  • Provide feedback during preconstruction on delivery strategies and optimal project execution

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related area
  • Minimum 15 years' experience managing large, complex commercial construction projects
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Experience with commercial construction projects such as healthcare facilities or educational campuses
  • Proven track record facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Strong mentoring and coaching experience with teams of diverse expertise levels
  • Ability to multitask as an entrepreneurial team player
  • Superior management skills and ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers
  • Self-reliant, results-oriented problem solver
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to interface effectively with senior management, corporate management, and staff
  • Ability to operate as both a tactical and strategic thinker
  • Passion for the company mission
  • HCAI experience preferred
  • Ability to travel 50%–75% of the time to job sites and office locations
  • Ability to climb stairs, remain stationary for prolonged periods, and perform repetitive wrist, hand, or finger motions
