About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the creation of technical design solutions and studies
- Provide technical authority and direction as Engineer of Record for electrical engineering designs, studies, and solutions
- Participate as part of an integrated project team
- Analyze, develop, and evaluate systems
- Improve and maintain current systems or create new projects
- Design and draft blueprints
- Visit systems in the field
- Manage projects
- Apply engineering techniques and analyses within the assignment scope
- Work under minimal supervision
- Handle complex issues and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staff
- Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group
- Act as a lead or first-level supervisor when needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- 4-6 years of experience
- Strong proficiency in REVIT
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of the subject matter
- Critical thinking skills
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent multitasking skills and ability to perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary
- Preferred experience designing Healthcare projects
- Preferred experience designing Higher Education projects
- Preferred experience designing Central Energy Plant (CEP) electrical infrastructure projects
- Preferred experience designing medium-voltage protection and power distribution systems
- Preferred experience designing paralleled generator systems at medium voltage and below
- Ability to travel 5-10% of the time
- Ability to sit, stand, kneel, climb stairs, perform repetitive hand/wrist/finger motions, and move objects up to 20 pounds
