About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee creation of technical design solutions and studies
  • Serve as technical authority and Engineer of Record for electrical engineering designs, studies, and solutions
  • Participate as part of an integrated project team
  • Analyze, develop, and evaluate systems
  • Improve and maintain current systems or create new projects
  • Design and draft blueprints
  • Visit systems in the field
  • Manage projects
  • Apply engineering techniques and analyses within the assignment scope
  • Work under minimal supervision
  • Handle complex issues and problems, referring only the most complex issues to higher-level staff
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group
  • Act as a lead or first-level supervisor when needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • 4–6 years of experience
  • Strong proficiency in REVIT
  • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the subject matter
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent multitasking skills, with ability to perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary
  • Preferred experience with Healthcare projects
  • Preferred experience with Higher Education projects
  • Preferred experience with Central Energy Plant (CEP) electrical infrastructure projects
  • Preferred experience designing medium-voltage protection and power distribution systems
  • Preferred experience designing paralleled generator systems at medium voltage and below
  • Ability to travel 5–10% of the time
  • Ability to work at a desk/computer for prolonged periods
  • Ability to climb stairs and remain stationary, kneel, stand, or sit for prolonged periods
  • Ability to perform repetitive wrist, hand, or finger motions
  • Ability to adjust or move objects up to 20 pounds
