About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Sign and seal engineering documents, as applicable
  • Design solar energy, battery energy storage, fuel cell, and combined heat and power plants with guidance from senior engineers
  • Analyze and design electrical systems, including power distribution, low/medium voltage systems, lighting, and controls
  • Perform calculations for utility interconnects, arc flash, short-circuit, and breaker coordination studies
  • Prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications under established standards
  • Conduct site visits, field assessments, and data collection
  • Coordinate and plan 3D laser scanning efforts when needed
  • Assist with project coordination across multidisciplinary teams
  • Apply engineering techniques within defined assignments
  • Work under general supervision
  • Handle moderately complex issues and escalate complex challenges to senior staff
  • Support permitting and procurement efforts
  • Maintain design documentation and respond to field conditions
  • Contribute to performance, reliability, and energy-efficiency objectives within ENFRA's design-build delivery model

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in architectural engineering, electrical engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of design experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Working knowledge of electrical system design and analysis
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills
  • Proficiency with electrical design and modeling software
  • Effective communication and documentation skills
  • Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple assignments
  • Experience in energy infrastructure, ESCO (preferred)
  • Ability to travel 10–25% of the time to job sites
  • Ability to perform prolonged office work at a desk and computer
  • Ability to ascend and descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and possibly scaffolding
  • Ability to work in loud environments, peak/low temperatures, and/or elevated locations during field surveys
  • Ability to lift or move objects up to 20 pounds
