About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide support to technical employees in an organizational function related to the intern’s area of study
- Perform basic engineering tasks
- Learn organizational processes and procedures
- Contribute to assigned projects
- Assist with development and maintenance of documentation or records
- Assist with record and filing systems, drafting techniques, standards, and data resource duties
- Organize and store maps, detailed design drawings, graphs, structural drawings, and related engineering records
- Collect and code data from sources for input procedures
- Review existing records for necessary revisions and prepare data
Requirements
What you’ll need- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in a technical area of study at a college or university
- Work performed under direct supervision
- Beginning to working knowledge of subject matter
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Oral and written communication skills
- Attentiveness
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Handles basic issues and problems and refers complex issues to higher-level staff
- Ability to travel 0–5% of the time to job site(s)/office locations
