About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collect, compile, organize, and analyze utility consumption data and rates
- Develop understanding of utility supply-side opportunities and procurement logistics
- Research utility rate changes and deregulated energy cost trends
- Identify energy-efficiency rebate and incentive programs
- Conduct energy benchmarks using tools such as EPA Energy Star
- Review utility invoices, resolve errors, and create utility budgets
- Assist with field survey and utility data analysis for energy audits
- Evaluate building and MEP systems and identify energy or cost reduction improvements
- Assist with technical reports
- Develop and implement IPVMP-adherent measurement and verification plans
- Develop energy consumption baselines and adjustments using regression analysis
- Coordinate with clients, utility representatives, analysts, engineers, construction managers, and commissioning agents
- Review metering-system design documents, M&E specifications, and shop drawings
- Verify facility utility performance and validate savings
- Analyze utility bills, sub-metering data, and energy performance
- Create, maintain, and distribute M&V dashboards and reports
- Evaluate energy, weather, and building automation data
- Identify facility operational issues and develop recommendations
- Prepare stakeholder reports
- Develop engineering-based energy models for existing and proposed building operations
- Assist with life-cycle cost and engineering economic analyses
- Document engineering calculations and methodologies
- Perform assigned duties with minimal supervision in a team problem-solving environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4-year Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university
- Thorough, organized, and superb attention to detail
- Proficient with computers
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Versed in the industry and the Company’s competitors
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
- Ability to travel 10–20% of the time to job sites/office locations
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to remain stationary, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Ability to perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Ability to adjust and/or move objects up to 20 pounds
