About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Review facility energy usage daily and provide guidance, best practices, and modifications to current operations
Mentor the owner on energy strategies
Manage Central Energy Plant Operation and Maintenance, including subcontractors, operators, and internal service providers
Manage Maintenance Reserve Accounts for the Central Energy Plant
Work with operators to ensure efficient plant operation
Perform ongoing training of Plant Operators
Develop and maintain the Plant Operating Manual
Assist the EPC team with coordinating engineering, procurement, and construction activities with OMC operations
Coordinate on-site troubleshooting and diagnostic efforts with the remote support services team

Requirements

What you’ll need

10 years of management experience in a central plant or facility
4 year Mechanical Engineering degree from an ABET Accredited Program
3-4 years of experience in mechanical construction with a large mechanical subcontractor or MEP design consultant
Well versed in building codes and associated standards
EIT registration required while working towards PE
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast paced environment
Well versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary
PE preferred
Ability to travel 0-5% of the time to job site(s)/office location
