About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Direct, oversee, and exercise functional authority over engineering design and commissioning projects or process-related activities
  • Direct design teams of project managers, engineers, and technical staff in developing building designs supporting client requirements and schedules
  • Direct commissioning teams of commissioning agents and technicians
  • Delegate projects among engineering and commissioning staff based on specialized knowledge, skills, abilities, and project requirements
  • Approve process specifications and design or commissioning standards
  • Review engineering designs for accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors
  • Develop new and expanded business based on successful delivery of existing projects
  • Lead presentations for marketing and business development
  • Attend job site meetings and walk construction sites

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a 4-year accredited program
  • Acceptable degree alternatives: Engineering Technology or Construction Management Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager
  • Alternative: minimum 15 years of experience as a Project Manager for the Company
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project experience
  • Professional Engineering License
  • Ability to lead presentations for marketing and business development for projects
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
  • Preferred: Project Management Certification from a certifying agency (PMI)
  • Willingness and ability to travel 30% of the time to job sites/office locations
  • Ability to attend job site meetings and walk job sites under construction
  • Ability to perform physical duties including climbing stairs, remaining stationary for prolonged periods, repetitive wrist/hand/finger motions, and moving objects up to 20 pounds
