About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Direct and oversee the operation, planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering design or commissioning projects and process-related activities
- Direct design teams of project managers, engineers, and technical staff in developing building designs that support client requirements and schedules
- Direct commissioning teams of commissioning agents and technicians to support client requirements and schedules
- Delegate projects among engineering or commissioning staff based on specialized knowledge, skills, abilities, and project requirements
- Approve process specifications and design or commissioning standards
- Review engineering designs for accuracy and compliance
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors
- Develop new and expanded business through successful delivery of existing projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a 4-year accredited program
- Acceptable degree alternative: Engineering Technology / Construction Management Degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager
- Alternative: minimum 15 years of experience as a Project Manager for the Company
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project experience
- Professional Engineering License
- Ability to lead presentations for marketing and business development for projects
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary
- Ability to travel 30% of the time
- Ability to attend job site meetings and walk job sites under construction
- Ability to sit, stand, kneel, climb stairs, and perform repetitive wrist, hand, or finger motions
- Ability to adjust or move objects up to 20 pounds
