About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review facility energy usage daily and provide guidance, best practices, and operational modifications
- Mentor the owner on energy strategies
- Manage Central Energy Plant operation and maintenance, including subcontractors, operators, and internal service providers
- Manage Maintenance Reserve Accounts for the Central Energy Plant
- Work with operators to ensure efficient plant operation
- Provide ongoing training to Plant Operators
- Develop and maintain the Plant Operating Manual
- Assist the EPC team with coordinating engineering, procurement, and construction activities with OMC operations
- Coordinate on-site troubleshooting and diagnostic efforts with remote support services
- Manage a single team or multiple teams consisting of one or more Asset Managers
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years of experience in managing multiple sites and/or multiple Assistant Asset Managers/Asset Manager I/II(s), managing a single site of significant size/complexity, central plant or facility management, or mechanical construction with a large mechanical subcontractor or MEP design consultant
- Well versed in building codes and associated standards
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
- Ability to travel 10–25% of the time to job site(s)/office location
- Ability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to move in different positions to accomplish tasks in tight and confined spaces
- Ability to remain stationary, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Ability to adjust and/or move objects up to 50 pounds
- Preferred: 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program
- PE preferred or FE working toward obtaining PE
