About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide leadership and direction for day-to-day execution of the assigned business unit's work
  • Oversee operations, sales, and accounting
  • Make safety the number one priority in the business unit
  • Develop and implement execution plans to maximize business objectives and profitability
  • Manage the Services team and model the company's Core Values
  • Communicate with Corporate Operations to identify, manage, and share best practices and project resources
  • Handle hiring and disciplinary duties
  • Meet or exceed growth goals
  • Manage KPIs including safety, financial expectations, forecasting, accounts receivable management, personnel development, and sales team performance
  • Measure and take corrective actions on operations and sales goals
  • Direct operations and resolve operational problems within the corporate framework
  • Evaluate local performance and customer satisfaction and lead performance enhancement and issue resolution
  • Allocate resources to meet business unit and project team commitments
  • Manage staffing, performance reviews, salary recommendations, and internal personnel issues
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements, business ethics, corporate standards, and project requirements
  • Meet or exceed financial budgets and goals; review setups, pricing, and cost data
  • Implement productivity improvements and assure project compliance and quality assurance
  • Maintain consistency in project and field management processes
  • Maintain customer satisfaction

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be passionate about providing services and promoting safety on the job
  • Knowledge and ability to enforce safety policies within the department
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business preferred
  • Knowledge of service business
  • Minimum of 10 years of successful and verifiable experience
  • Experience in outside sales and new business development
  • Ability to manage profit and losses and report on weekly and monthly projections
  • Ability to create a reliable budget as part of a professional departmental budget plan
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Well versed in the industry and the company's competitors
  • Excellent multitasking skills and ability to perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary
  • Willingness to travel 5–10% of the time to job sites or office locations
  • Ability to perform physical activities including climbing stairs, repetitive wrist/hand/finger motions, and prolonged standing or sitting
  • Ability to perform light work involving adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds
