Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide leadership and direction for day-to-day execution of the assigned business unit
  • Oversee operations, sales, and accounting

  • Manage KPIs including safety, financial expectations, forecasting, accounts receivable, personnel development, and sales team performance
  • Measure performance and implement counteractions for operations and sales goals
  • Provide leadership for business-unit operations and resolve operational problems
  • Evaluate local performance and customer satisfaction; enhance performance and proactively resolve issues
  • Allocate resources to meet business-unit and project-team customer commitments
  • Manage staffing, performance reviews, salary recommendations, and internal personnel issues
  • Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal legal requirements and corporate standards
  • Meet or exceed financial budgets and goals; review setups, pricing, and cost data
  • Implement productivity improvements, project compliance, and quality assurance
  • Maintain consistency in project and field management processes
  • Maintain customer satisfaction

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must have knowledge of the service business
  • Minimum of 10 years of successful and verifiable experience
  • Experience in outside sales and new business development
  • Knowledge and ability to enforce safety policies
  • Ability to manage profit and losses and report weekly and monthly projections
  • Ability to create a reliable budget as part of a professional departmental budget plan
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Well versed in the industry and the company's competitors
  • Excellent multitasking skills, including ability to perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business preferred
  • Ability to travel 5–10% of the time
  • Ability to climb stairs and perform repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions
  • Ability to remain stationary, standing or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Ability to adjust or move objects up to 20 pounds
