About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform assigned duties in accordance with ENFRA policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Document, collaborate, and communicate activities, technical issues, and solution development to the project delivery team and Team Manager
Execute assigned tasks and deliverables in a timely manner
Participate in site surveys, documentation reviews, and due diligence activities to assess facility conditions and develop energy conservation measures
Participate in design and submittal reviews for new construction commissioning
Use CxAlloy to document assigned new construction commissioning scopes
Develop pre-functional checklists and functional performance tests in CxAlloy
Develop technical reports and project observations supporting solution development and project progress
Implement energy conservation measures independently or with facilities staff and trade partners
Review pre-functional checklists against actual site conditions
Troubleshoot, optimize, and modify building-system programming
Troubleshoot building-system integration and networking and recommend solutions
Use test instrumentation to troubleshoot, verify, and optimize building-system operation
Oversee and execute functional performance tests for construction-scope acceptance
Provide on-site supervision of trade partners and subconsultants
Ensure energy conservation measures and building-system programming are documented, understood, and archived
Monitor energy performance and collaborate with the project team to meet and maintain performance targets
Identify, communicate, track, assign, and resolve issues
Assist with issue resolution and propose project solutions
Escalate impediments to project outcomes and scope completion
Adhere to IS Delivery and Technical Services processes and SOPs
Uphold ENFRA organizational core values
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate Degree or equivalent in HVAC, Energy Management, Building Automation, or related technical field
7+ years of commissioning or related field experience with mechanical, electrical, building automation systems, programming, or building operation management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Attention to safety
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work with minimal or limited information
Self-directed or able to work with limited direction
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Competency with cloud-based commissioning software platforms
Ability to travel to job sites/office locations 50% of the time
Ability to work in office and on-site environments
Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing, working in tight/confined spaces, and moving objects up to 20–50 pounds
Preferred: Commissioning Certification from ACG, BCxA, or ASHRAE
Preferred: AEE Energy Manager in Training (EMIT) or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification
Preferred: Building automation systems design and programming experience
Preferred: Certifications in building automation systems platforms such as Siemens Insight or Desigo, JCI Metasys Extended Architecture, Schneider EcoStruxure BSO, Trane, Niagara, or Distech
