About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Evaluate, program, optimize, and test new and existing building systems on-site or remotely.
Perform assigned duties in accordance with ENFRA policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Document, collaborate, and communicate activities, technical issues, and solution development to the project delivery team and Team Manager.
Execute assigned tasks and deliverables in a timely manner.
Participate in site surveys, documentation reviews, and due diligence to determine facility conditions and develop energy conservation measures.
Participate in design and submittal reviews for new construction commissioning.
Use CxAlloy to document new construction commissioning scopes.
Develop pre-functional checklists and functional performance tests in CxAlloy.
Develop technical reports and project observations.
Implement energy conservation measures independently or with project delivery partners.
Review pre-functional checklists against actual site conditions.
Troubleshoot, optimize, and modify building system programming.
Troubleshoot building system integration and networking and recommend solutions.
Use test instrumentation to troubleshoot, verify, and optimize building system operation.
Oversee and execute functional performance tests for construction-scope acceptance.
Provide on-site supervision of trade partners and subcontractors when required.
Ensure energy conservation measures and building system programming are documented and archived.
Monitor energy performance and collaborate with the project team to meet and maintain performance targets.
Identify, communicate, track, assign, and resolve issues with delivery team members and partners.
Assist with issue resolution and propose project solutions.
Escalate impediments to project outcomes and scope completion.
Follow IS Delivery and Technical Services process guidelines and SOPs.
Uphold ENFRA organizational core values.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Reports to the Technical Services Team Manager.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associates Degree or equivalent, in HVAC, Energy Management, Building Automation or related technical field.
+7 years of commissioning or related field experience with mechanical, electrical, building automation systems, programming, or building operation management experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Attention to safety.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work with minimal or limited information.
Self directed or able to work with limited direction.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Competency with Cloud Based commissioning software platforms.
Ability to travel to job sites/office locations 50% of the time.
Ability to work in office and on-site environments.
Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles; working in tight and confined spaces; and moving objects up to 20–50 pounds.
Preferred: Commissioning Certification from ACG, BCxA, or ASHRAE.
Preferred: AEE Energy Manager in Training (EMIT) or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification.
Preferred: Building automation systems design and programming experience.
Preferred: Certifications in building automation systems platforms such as Siemens Insight or Desigo, JCI Metasys Extended Architecture, Schneider EcoStruxure BSO, Trane, Niagara, or Distech.
