About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical components/equipment
Perform service projects and small jobs from beginning to completion
Ensure total customer satisfaction throughout service projects
Install and commission a wide variety of HVAC and refrigeration equipment
Perform maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration equipment
Establish and maintain clear communication with customers on and off customer job sites
Assist in maintaining inventory and procuring tools for the individual service vehicle
Promote and perform all aspects of BMCC’s safety procedures and policies

Requirements

What you’ll need

Current Licensed Technician (mandatory) or verifiable experience in service of commercial HVAC systems
Holds EPA Certification
Skills of Level II Technician
Cooling tower service, annual maintenance, gearbox replacement and alignment, water cooled chiller annual maintenance, hydronic system understanding and troubleshooting
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
Versed in the industry and the Company’s competitors
Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
8+ years of experience in service of commercial HVAC systems is listed as preferred
Travel of 0–5% to job sites/office location
Ability to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles
Ability to work in tight and confined spaces and remain stationary for prolonged periods
Ability to operate machinery, power tools, and motor vehicles
Ability to work in varying indoor/outdoor temperatures and noisy environments
Ability to adjust and/or move objects up to 50 pounds
