About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical components/equipment
Install and commission a wide variety of HVAC and refrigeration equipment
Perform maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment
Perform service projects and small jobs from beginning to completion
Ensure total customer satisfaction throughout projects
Establish and maintain clear communication with customers on and off customer job sites
Assist with inventory maintenance and tool procurement for the individual service vehicle
Promote and perform all aspects of BMCC's safety procedures and policies

Requirements

What you’ll need

Current Licensed Technician (mandatory) or verifiable experience in service of commercial HVAC & refrigeration systems
EPA Certification
Chiller rebuild experience
Startup & Commissioning experience
Crane signaling and rigging experience
Steam boiler/system maintenance, troubleshooting, and service experience, including setting combustion
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
Ability to multitask and perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary
Preferred: 12+ verifiable years of experience in service of commercial HVAC & refrigeration systems
Ability to travel to job sites/office locations 0–5% of the time
Ability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles
Ability to climb stairs
Ability to work in tight and confined spaces and move into different positions
Ability to remain stationary, often kneeling, standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
Ability to perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers
Ability to operate machinery and/or power tools
Ability to operate motor vehicles
Ability to work in low and high indoor temperatures, outdoor precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind
Ability to work in a noisy environment
Ability to perform medium work, including moving objects up to 50 pounds
