About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with the full MBCx project lifecycle, from site onboarding and BAS/point mapping through platform go-live and ongoing service delivery
  • Participate in client facilities and engineering team meetings to define scope, onboarding timelines, and reporting cadences for FDD and retro-commissioning work
  • Coordinate with analysts and engineers to track fault resolution, energy savings validation, and project milestones against client SLAs under PM II or III supervision
  • Help ensure onboarding and ongoing service work is completed on time, within budget, and to specification
  • Assist with selecting, negotiating, and coordinating controls contractors, integrators, and subcontractors for site onboarding and BAS integration
  • Support resource scheduling across assigned client sites
  • Track project progress against onboarding milestones, energy savings targets, and MBCx performance indicators
  • Prepare and deliver status reports to management under PM II or III supervision
  • Develop working knowledge of MBCx tools, policies, fault detection workflows, chiller plant diagnostics, and demand response participation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in Engineering, Construction, Facilities Management, or Energy
  • Knowledge of Project Management through a college degree or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing a team of technical staff
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft O365, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to use multiple software platforms, including financial and project management software
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Preferred: Baccalaureate Degree in a technical discipline, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Preferred: Professional Engineering (PE) license
  • Preferred experience in controls, construction, facilities management, and/or energy sectors
  • Preferred: PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) qualification
  • Ability to interpret engineering documents and drawings and understand construction contract requirements
  • Internal candidates must have successfully completed Project Management training
  • Willingness and ability to travel 5–10% of the time to job sites or office locations
  • Ability to climb stairs and remain standing or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Ability to perform repetitive wrist, hand, or finger motions
  • Ability to adjust or move objects up to 20 pounds
