About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create a master checklist of internship expectations and goals for evaluation at completion
  • Assist departments and teams with project, estimating, and business operations
  • Participate in special tasks and projects, collaborating with team members and various resources
  • Collect information and create or update files, documents, spreadsheets, databases, reports, and schedules
  • Prepare reports and presentations as needed
  • Attend departmental and jobsite meetings
  • Perform tasks under the supervision of an Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, or departmental staff
  • Participate in orientations, lunch & learns, outings, jobsite tours, safety inspections, and other learning experiences
  • Study meeting notes, policies, and procedures to learn company practices
  • Attend the exit interview and provide feedback on the internship experience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related business major
  • Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior classification
  • Reliable transportation to work daily
  • Ability to be punctual
  • Great attitude toward work and others
  • Ability to take initiative and provide quality work with a sense of urgency and reasonable productivity
  • Ability to work independently to complete tasks with daily supervision
  • Respect for tools, equipment, and supplies; safety conscious
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to climb stairs and remain stationary, kneeling, standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions
