About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead day-to-day Project Controls execution, analysis, and integrity for assigned projects
- Serve as the primary Project Controls resource embedded within project teams
- Lead project setup and mobilization, including work breakdown structures, coding structures, baseline controls, responsibility assignments, reporting cadence, and execution requirements
- Manage budgets, commitments, accruals, productivity, cash flow, cost trends, variances, and Estimate-at-Completion forecasts
- Develop, maintain, update, and analyze project schedules, including logic, critical path, milestones, progress, resources, and forecast completion dates
- Facilitate identification, assessment, documentation, and monitoring of project risks and opportunities
- Administer change management, including scope changes, claims, change estimates, pricing support, schedule impacts, back charges, and change logs
- Incorporate energy production, savings, performance commitments, and related economics into Project Controls processes
- Coordinate execution planning and project startup, including baseline schedules, work breakdown structures, time-phased spend, controls procedures, and Project Execution Plan content
- Coordinate with Operations Finance and Project Accounting on revenue recognition, margin, billing, cash, reforecasting, accruals, and month-end alignment
- Develop and present Project Controls reports, dashboards, KPIs, cost curves, progress information, and management analyses
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to project controls personnel
- Apply enterprise Project Controls standards, tools, systems, and methodologies and support continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4-year degree in engineering, construction management, business, finance, or related fields, or 2–5 years of relevant experience in project controls or project management
- Experience using Primavera
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving attitude and high level of coordination skills
- Demonstrated effectiveness working with others in a multifunctional team
- Accepts change and works well under pressure
- Knowledge of common business tools such as Microsoft Office applications
- Awareness of contract and construction terminology
- Up to 25% travel
- Ability to perform prolonged periods of desk and computer work, climb stairs, kneel, stand, or sit for prolonged periods, and move objects up to 20 pounds
