About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Determine customer needs and develop and estimate project solutions for HVAC, Controls, Mechanical, and Electrical services, including service agreements
  • Meet or exceed sales objectives and develop multi-layer customer relationships
  • Create a backlog of work supporting short- and long-term goals
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite contacts at large customers with over $2MM annual spend and over 1MM square feet
  • Effectively and efficiently manage 5–7 key accounts
  • Source and contact potential clients weekly; accurately, thoroughly and promptly document and report findings
  • Maintain and regularly update CRM software
  • Collaborate with team members to generate additional Services work and maintain higher profit margins for maintenance and project work
  • Participate in relevant internal and external training
  • Estimate sourced work, suggest upgrades, and develop and present solutions based on company service offerings
  • Monitor and report sales plan performance and meet or exceed goals
  • Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog to support the sales plan
  • Develop long-term relationships and create brand loyalty
  • Learn company service offerings to educate clients and persuade sales
  • Assist the team in creating and executing a successful sales strategy

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must have ten (10) years' experience in HVAC, Mechanical or related sales, selling owner-direct projects and maintenance agreements
  • Proven track record of repeatedly exceeding established sales goals of over $5MM annually
  • Proven track record of account management and retention
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to provide innovative ideas for excellent customer care
  • Organized and self-motivated, with ability to source leads, make cold calls, follow-up calls and visit potential clients
  • Professional manner and appearance
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline preferred, or a minimum of ten (10) years of experience
  • Ability to travel 10–25% of the time to job sites and office locations
  • Ability to perform listed physical activities, including climbing stairs, ascending and descending ladders, scaffolding, ramps and poles, and working in tight or confined spaces
  • Ability to adjust and/or move objects up to 20 pounds
