About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead development, maintenance, analysis, and integrity of project schedules throughout all project phases
- Lead scheduling execution on large, complex, high-risk, or strategically important projects
- Support proposal and bid schedule development
- Develop project schedules from Level 1 milestone schedules through Level 4 detailed working schedules
- Lead cross-functional planning with Project Management, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Pre-Construction, Finance, subcontractors, clients, and Project Controls
- Lead scheduling setup and mobilization, including schedule architecture, work breakdown structures, calendars, coding, responsibility assignments, update cadence, and contractual requirements
- Develop, baseline, maintain, update, and analyze network-logic-driven schedules
- Serve as senior Primavera P6 subject matter expert
- Integrate engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning, subcontractor, client, and turnover schedules
- Perform critical path, near-critical path, float, variance, milestone, resource, productivity, trend, and schedule health analysis
- Develop look-ahead schedules, narratives, manpower histograms, progress curves, quantity curves, executive views, dashboards, KPIs, and reports
- Lead schedule review and planning meetings and communicate status, drivers, constraints, decisions, and required actions
- Develop mitigation, recovery, acceleration, and what-if scenarios and drive action plans
- Support schedule risk analysis, time impact analysis, delay analysis, prolongation, acceleration, and claims evaluations
- Integrate schedule information with project cost, cash flow, forecasting, and Estimate-at-Completion processes
- Lead schedule risk and change management activities
- Incorporate energy production, savings, commissioning, performance verification, and contractual milestones into schedules
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, mentoring, onboarding, and training to scheduling and Project Controls personnel
- Apply and improve enterprise planning and scheduling standards, tools, systems, templates, dashboards, and methodologies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or related technical field or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
- 8+ years of experience
- Experience in Gantt charts, Critical Path Analysis and methodology
- Effective leadership in the execution of planning/scheduling activities on projects
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills
- Understanding of EPC/full-service project delivery processes
- Independent, proactive, accurate, with strong analytical and organizing skills
- Experience implementing and effectively using company-standard planning/scheduling systems such as Primavera
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
- Experience with Accumen Fuse is a plus but not required
