About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise and assist field and subcontractor workers with field installation activities in an assigned project area
- Provide quality control and ensure safety during installation activities
- Prepare tools and installation equipment before workers arrive
- Provide installation instructions through detailed verbal explanations and/or sketches
- Organize materials in the work area for efficient installation
- Expedite tools, equipment, and materials to keep workers in the work area
- Inspect and test installations
- Call for code enforcement inspections
- Mark up as-built drawings daily
- Perform timekeeping
- Enforce safety policies and respond to incidents
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years commercial construction experience holding a Foreman role
- Leadership skills that motivate, build respect, and express a firm and fair attitude when directing workers
- Experience enforcing company safety programs and compliance with OSHA regulations for a safe workplace
- Management skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
- Ability to work in quiet and noisy environments and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind
- Ability to climb stairs and remain stationary, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Ability to repeat motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers
- Ability to move between worksites and operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment
- Ability to perform medium work, including adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to travel 40–60% of the time to job sites and office locations
