About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide overall direction for field installation of assigned projects
  • Take direct responsibility for field labor, labor coordination, quality control, and project safety
  • Represent the company on the project site and ensure installation functions as designed and satisfies the contracted scope
  • Attend and contribute to project meetings
  • Perform plan-reading, coordination, layout, sketching, and material take-offs
  • Order, receive, place, and return materials, tools, and equipment
  • Confirm construction drawings and specifications agree with contract scope
  • Respond to general contractor requests concerning scope limits
  • Coordinate trade stacking and phasing and influence project scheduling
  • Manage manpower loading and maintain the two-week look-ahead schedule
  • Perform timekeeping and administrative duties, including daily reports, submittal logs, and RFI status
  • Ensure safety and company programs are implemented and effective
  • Ensure building code compliance
  • Forecast labor and material costs with the project team
  • Maintain quality control

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must have experience managing 5 or more crews of 2-3 workers each
  • Must have verifiable experience working on projects of $500K or more
  • Minimum of 3 years craft supervision experience in similar facility construction
  • Must have advanced knowledge of how jobs are assembled in the field
  • Must manage to the budget, plan to the schedule, plan for the unexpected, meet or exceed project deadlines, while keeping safety first
  • Ability to influence workers to follow company methods and ensure installations reflect the company brand
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
  • Ability to travel 0-5% of the time to job sites or office locations
  • Ability to climb stairs and work in tight and confined spaces
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • Ability to work outdoors in precipitation and wind, high and low temperatures, and noisy environments
  • Ability to adjust and/or move objects up to 20 pounds
