About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide overall direction for field installation of assigned projects
- Take direct responsibility for field labor, labor coordination, quality control, and safety
- Represent the company on the project site
- Ensure installation functions as designed and satisfies the contracted scope
- Attend and contribute to project meetings
- Perform plan-reading, coordination, layout, sketching, and material take-offs
- Order, receive, place, and return materials, tools, and equipment
- Confirm construction drawings and specifications agree with contract scope
- Respond to general contractor requests concerning scope limits
- Coordinate trade stacking and phasing and influence project scheduling
- Load manpower and maintain the two-week look-ahead schedule
- Complete timekeeping and administrative duties, including daily reports, submittal logs, and RFI status
- Ensure safety and company programs are implemented and effective
- Ensure building code compliance
- Forecast labor and material costs with the project team
- Maintain quality control
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience managing 5 or more crews of 2–3 workers each
- Verifiable experience working on projects of $500K or more
- Minimum 3 years of craft supervision experience in similar facility construction
- Advanced knowledge of how jobs are assembled in the field
- Ability to manage to budget and plan to schedule
- Ability to meet or exceed project deadlines while keeping safety first
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary
- Ability to work in outdoor elements, high and low temperatures, noisy environments, and tight or confined spaces
- Ability to climb stairs and perform repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, or fingers
- Ability to adjust and/or move objects up to 20 pounds
