About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide overall direction for field installation of assigned projects
- Maintain direct responsibility for field labor, labor coordination, quality control, and safety
- Represent the company on the project site
- Ensure installation functions as designed and satisfies the contracted scope
- Attend and contribute to project meetings
- Perform plan-reading, coordination, layout, sketching, and material take-offs
- Order, receive, place, and return materials, tools, and equipment
- Confirm construction drawings and specifications agree with contract scope
- Respond to general contractor requests concerning scope limits
- Manage trade stacking, phasing, and influence project scheduling
- Load manpower and maintain the two-week look-ahead schedule
- Complete timekeeping and administrative duties, including daily reports, submittal logs, and RFI status
- Implement and ensure effectiveness of safety and company programs
- Ensure building code compliance
- Forecast labor and material costs with the project team
- Maintain quality control
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have experience managing 5 or more crews of 2-3 workers each
- Must have verifiable experience working on projects of $500K or more
- Minimum of 3 years craft supervision experience in similar facility construction
- Must have advanced knowledge of how jobs are assembled in the field
- Must manage to the budget, plan to the schedule, plan for the unexpected, meet or exceed project deadlines, while keeping safety first
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
- Travel requirements: 0-5% of the time to job site(s)/office locations
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Ability to move into different positions, including tight and confined spaces
- Ability to work in precipitation, wind, high temperatures, low temperatures, and noisy environments
- Ability to perform light work, adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds
