About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Execute technical development and operation tasks for company technology-based products supporting Energy as a Service and Integrated Solutions
Develop new and innovative systems for collecting, computing, and storing energy and telemetry data within the Connect platform
Serve as an individual contributor on an agile software development team
Collaborate with scrum master, product owner, internal team members, external consultants, and technical and non-technical stakeholders
Complete software development tasks independently or in a self-directed manner
Follow development policies and procedures covering testing, quality control, coding, documentation, and related standards
Contribute to ongoing maintenance and operation of company technology products
Engage with internal and external customers
Participate in non-software engineering projects to understand the use and value of software products
Leverage IoT, data science, machine learning, cloud, and front-end user interface technologies to drive energy-efficiency and optimization innovations

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience working on a professional software development team
Willingness to engage with and learn the basics of different EaaS business fields
Strong technical and analytical skills
Good communication skills, with willingness to improve
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
Strong desire to continually grow and develop professionally
Proficiency with multiple technologies and languages
Experience with agile software development processes
Proficiency with source code management systems such as Git
Experience with software quality control including unit testing
Experience developing single-page web applications using Angular 2+ framework
Experience with agile management tools such as Azure DevOps
Experience with C#
Experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and other scripting languages
Preferred: MS in Computer Science or related field
Preferred: experience developing with Microsoft Azure
Preferred: experience deploying to critical production environments
Preferred: experience setting up and deploying code using CI/CD pipelines
Ability to travel to job sites/office locations 25% of the time
Ability to perform the stated physical requirements, including prolonged sitting, climbing stairs, kneeling, standing, repetitive hand/wrist/finger motions, and moving objects up to 20 pounds
