Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute software development tasks as an individual contributor
  • Work on an agile development team with a scrum master, product owner, and internal or external development team members
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical company employees and external consultants
  • Complete tasks independently or in a self-directed manner
  • Follow development policies and procedures covering testing, quality control, coding, and documentation
  • Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and operation of company technology products
  • Develop innovative systems for collecting, computing, and storing energy and telemetry data within the Connect platform
  • Engage with internal and external customers
  • Participate in non-software engineering projects to understand software product use and value

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience working on a professional software development team
  • Willingness to engage and learn the basics of different EaaS business fields
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills, with a willingness to improve
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong desire to continually grow and develop professionally
  • Proficiency with multiple technologies and languages
  • Experience with agile software development processes
  • Proficiency with source code management systems such as Git
  • Experience with software quality control including unit testing
  • Experience developing single-page web applications using Angular 2+
  • Experience with agile management tools such as Azure DevOps
  • Experience with C#
  • Experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and other scripting languages
  • Preferred: MS in Computer Science or related field
  • Preferred: Experience developing with Microsoft Azure
  • Preferred: Experience deploying to critical production environments
  • Preferred: Experience setting up and deploying code using CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to travel; 25% of time spent traveling to job sites/office location
  • Ability to perform stated physical requirements, including prolonged sitting, climbing stairs, kneeling, standing, repetitive hand motions, and moving objects up to 20 pounds
