About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain, operate, monitor, and repair utilities and central plant equipment
- Respond to maintenance requests from hospital, clinic, and supporting facilities
- Maintain the central plant in good, clean working condition
- Perform preventive maintenance and schedule and complete corrective maintenance
- Document all activities and maintenance
- Answer phones properly and resolve requests using the caller's name and department
- Complete preventive maintenance and work requests using the proper work order form
- Monitor and operate power plant equipment through visual inspection and adjustment for maximum efficiency
- Troubleshoot engineering equipment and systems according to manufacturers' maintenance and operating parameters
- Operate, monitor, and maintain the Energy Management System by adjusting heating/cooling schedules based on building loads
- Perform building rounds and equipment inspections, enter round sheet data, and report problems to the supervisor
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience with water treatment for heating and cooling systems
- Experience using HVAC/Temperature controls
- Experience with Energy Management Systems
- Computer Operations experience
- OSHA Basic
- NFPA70E
- Basic math skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary
- Preferred: Associates degree in Operating Engineering
- Ability to work in physical environments involving ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, tight/confined spaces, machinery, power tools, outdoor elements, and noisy conditions
- Ability to adjust and/or move objects from 20–100 pounds
- 0–5% travel to job sites/office locations
